On Thursday 5 and Friday 6 June 2003 the two-day event took place. After months of preparation by Jeroen Smit, the Farm Technology Group and the student organisation Heeren XVII the first contestants arrived at the IMAG compound in Wageningen.
The first day started with building of the stands and making some final adjustments to the robots for the robot fair.
There were also presentations and workshops. Some competitors were also challenged to show their robot working, already the day before the real contest!
The first day ended with a barbecue, an informal drink and a party in the centre of Wageningen.
The second day started with preparations around the field. After that the contest started. There were various elements of the contest, like an inclination and a track on a muddy field. Look at the pictures below for an impression.
After a freestyle session it was time for the award show.
We look back at a succesfull event, and hope to see you at the even bigger and better Field Robot Event 2004!!
